reflection on annotated bib.
Doing this assignment by far was one of the most stressful. This was an assignment that I had no idea how to do. I was completely confused when we were even given the topic and not only that, but I felt as though I over exaggerated the situation. I believed that when I first began I started out rocky. I had never done an annotated bibliography before so this was all completely new to me. The entire process of researching and what have you was insane. I thought that I was doing the assignment wrong all the time and I always second-guessed the source I decided to use. I chose to do it on the eating disorder bulimia. I chose this topic specifically because it was interesting and it intrigued me. It was a topic that I personally have had experience with. friends and family have been involved in such a disorder while apart of my life so I knew it would be good for me to write on it. The process of this assignment was lengthy. It required tons of thought and lastly it was just difficult for me. Perhaps that is all because it was my first time. I’m not exactly sure what the reason. All I know now is that I’m glad it’s over and I’m glad that I completed it. It felt wonderful once I was done I must admit. So thanks you Molly for giving me this experience. Job well done. (Totally not being sarcastic) On the other hand there were some positives to this assignment. I learned some new facts about bulimia that I previously was not aware of. I also discovered different social networks in the Cincinnati area that help women deal with eating disorders and it was definitely a plus to read the testimonies of other girls who have suffered from the disease and overcame it. An inspiration it was truly, to see what they had to go through and how they survived. So it is those that I would say that were definite positives for me. Cool assignment overall. Would I do it again? Probably not by choice. Tootles.

Reflection on Style
For the style paper I felt that it was one that required a little time and effort. Although that is not bad, it did turn out to be one of the few assignments that I didn’t like too much. However it also turned out to be one of the assignments I learned quite a bit from. While reading style I got to see different points of view as to how a person should write and how one should take notice to every day errors made by us. While doing this I realized just how different they way I write compared to the standards of the man who influenced those chapters of style. When having to do the revision I saw that yes it did not make sense when I first wrote it out. I noticed that some of his way of writing was in fact very different from what I had expected. Because we were told that it didn’t have to flow, nor did it have to look structured, allot of potentially stressful outcomes were demolished. Looking at how he would have me write it versus the way it was originally written was actually pretty funny. There was a low sense of confusion throughout the entire process but all is well that ends well right? Comparing all the styles of writing throughout the text helped to get an understanding of just what it was that the professor was looking for. I’m not sure if the purpose of this was to broaden our sense of numerous writing styles or what, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I enjoyed it. When working with a classmate so that we could evaluate just what the assignment was along with getting their opinion I have to say that, that was key to my happiness with this assignment. I love getting to meet new classmates and I love being able to network with them whether it be socially or academically. In this case it was definitely academically but still very much so fun. Another assignment completed and enjoyed.
Reflection on Commentary:
All though the commentary assignment has been put to rest, or at least temporarily, I still wanted to do a reflection for it. For my assignment I chose to write about freedom of speech and what it meant to me. As an individual born and raised in the United States I am very adamant in regards to the personal freedoms that I have. I am very adamant about freedom of speech in particular. Having to do this assignment truly reminded me of how it felt to have such privileges and how far that we as a nation have came in order to get to this point. For freedom of speech is not something that is just guaranteed and in fact there are countries where it is absolutely not allowed. There are countries where women in fact are not allowed to talk at all freely. So not only am I extremely grateful as a person but as a woman and one that is looked at as a minority as well. It delights me to know the rights I have. As most of the assignments, doing this was interesting because I was not the typical boring essay that puts you to sleep. Because we have the freedom to write on whatever we choose it was even better. There are not too many professors who give their students that freedom and to have that and run with it, how could you go wrong? As a student and a writer for this assignment I didn’t see any negatives. There simply were not any. I enjoyed it to the fullest and had nothing but positive things to say about it. It intrigued me, it interested me and most of all, and it kept my attention.

Reflection on How to Guide.
The how to guide like many others was an assignment I felt was very creative. I have never done anything of the sort and felt it was very interesting. Having to think of a way to give someone steps in order to achieve something is awesome. It put me in a thinking process I certainly do not get too involved in on a daily basis. The allowing of this assignment being a group project was even better. Once again I was able to meet more of my classmates and interact with them on a social yet scholarly manner. Their ideas definitely were creative and they were both very open to suggestions. Our communication was great and we absolutely vibed off of one another extremely well. There were no negatives whatsoever and I have to say that, that was an extreme plus. For it is rare and ever so pleasant when a situation like that one occurs. We chose to do a guide on how to be successful academically, socially and then both together. It was very interesting to see their points of view on the topic and even more interesting when all of our thoughts came together. Seeing the ideas that the gentlemen in my group had simply astounded me. They are way more creative and outgoing than I thought. I didn’t expect them to have what they had and I surely didn’t expect for us to get along as well as we did. My portion simply consisted of how to be successful when partying (the social aspect). I somewhat struggled at first because I do not party too often. Especially when school is in session, however whenever I go home for a break or so I do get my fair share. I guess that is all I really needed to know in order to explain, since that was my portion. It reminded me of the different experiences I have had when partying and allowed me to give my reader the definite do’s and don’ts. Simply amazing was this assignment. So far the assignments have been one’s that absolutely intrigue me. They are one’s that are definitely different from the typical essays which is what I think I like about them so much. Because they are different the approach to competing them has also been different. Some take tons of time to complete while others take not so much time at all. Creating a how to guide was fun and exciting. It was different and absolutely a ball once completed. It made me step outside of my comfort zone and really get my creative juices flowing so that I could make my portion of the assignment worth while. The timing of this could not have been at a better time because I’m beginning to instruct my little sister on the do’s and don’ts of college partying and academics. The assignment was wonderful and I truly have no complaints. Molly great job on this one. The entire set up was extraordinary! Thank you!
